 Dear Sir/Madam,

Rather than being abusive of this planned precinct and accuse
the Council of being in cahoots with the principle proponents of
the proposal and who stand to gain substantially in the short term,
I write to request the following information and to make the subsequent
comments.

Firstly, what other sites in Dalkeith were considered?

Secondly, what is the total number of additional residences over the
current number will the Waratah precinct and all other planned precincts
in Nedlands provide?

Thirdly, who is to provide the study on the effect the planned Waratah
precinct will have on the overall environment of Dalkeith?

My comments are as follows,

If there is a need for smaller dwellings in the  City of Nedlands
then let us have a range of options  including for the Waratah "site".

The current proposal gives one option only and may well not be that
which most older people who wish to live in the area in a smaller
dwelling  would prefer.

Finally what will make the Council re-evaluate the plan? Unanimous
opposition? Substantial opposition? What 'weighting' is to be given to
Dalkeith residents views on the Waratah proposal compared to those
of Swanbourne or Crawley?

From what information I have obtained thus far I am against the
proposal as it stands.
I look forward to your considered response.

Yours sincerely,

Bill Carroll
